To Buy or Not to Buy
Winter activity equipment can have lots of (sometimes confusing!) options and can be pricey. But, once you’ve got the equipment, you can hit the trails or IceWays as often as you like. Check out the Equipment Rentals list for local companies that rent outdoor winter sports equipment.
If you decide to buy equipment, look around first. Ask for advice. And think about checking out some of the smaller, local stores that have staff who are avid outdoors people – they often use the gear themselves.
